HE IS RISEN !

HE IS RISEN !

Shall we deny him our feet to climb those stairs; shall we keep back those hands that he would use; and shall we seal the lips by which he would speak the tender message to the dying soul?

Nay, rather, shall we not say:

"Take my feet, and let them be
Swift and beautiful for thee.
Take my lips and let them be
Filled with messages from thee.

"Take my hands, and let them move
At the impulse of thy love.
Take my voice, and let me sing
Always, only, for my King."

And by every movement of our bodies say to men as we pass on our pilgrim way: "I no longer live, but Christ liveth in me." So live that our lives shall be a demonstration that "Christ in us, the hope of glory," is the Indwelling Presence that guides us in that way.

GLORY POEM # 13

WHY ME LORD ?

Why me, I ask still patiently,
Why me, Lord, I still can't see,
Thy purpose in it all
for I stand before you grief ridden with many a flaw,
knowing I must soon reply to your mighty call.

But Lord, why me,
I'm so unworthy, I still fall.

Yet day after day, your words speak, come!
I can't understand where these feelings flow from,
if not from you, then all is lost,
for without you, what a cost!

Answer me please, talk with me once again
in a way only you can
telling of things I long for internally

But Lord, I still ask, why me?
I really just can't see.
How I thank you for your favor upon my life,
How can I ever thank you for removing all my strife.
