HE IS RISEN !

HE IS RISEN !

Shall we deny him our feet to climb those stairs; shall we keep back those hands that he would use; and shall we seal the lips by which he would speak the tender message to the dying soul?

Nay, rather, shall we not say:

"Take my feet, and let them be
Swift and beautiful for thee.
Take my lips and let them be
Filled with messages from thee.

"Take my hands, and let them move
At the impulse of thy love.
Take my voice, and let me sing
Always, only, for my King."

And by every movement of our bodies say to men as we pass on our pilgrim way: "I no longer live, but Christ liveth in me." So live that our lives shall be a demonstration that "Christ in us, the hope of glory," is the Indwelling Presence that guides us in that way.

GLORY POEM # 11

JOY

As I sit upon my bed,
by your divine spirit of what is read,
I find myself ever endlessly fed.

A New "Joy" has entered within my loins,
girded for battle, united in spirit
as with you enjoins.

The allegations of those who make their claim,
for them is the reason for which you came,
for us, our spirit and yours, a oneness, one and the same.

I'm motivated to write that which I hear,
words with peculiar meaning found within our atmosphere,
But just the same,  my pen is given wings
to hurry along the words to a song, as one sings.

This "New Song" I knew not, but now is made clear,
as when falling in love, one writes a poem for one dear,
this "New Song" is the poem given in melody of Good Cheer,
A song sung all day long to our God of wisdom, do fear!
