HE IS RISEN !

HE IS RISEN !

Shall we deny him our feet to climb those stairs; shall we keep back those hands that he would use; and shall we seal the lips by which he would speak the tender message to the dying soul?

Nay, rather, shall we not say:

"Take my feet, and let them be
Swift and beautiful for thee.
Take my lips and let them be
Filled with messages from thee.

"Take my hands, and let them move
At the impulse of thy love.
Take my voice, and let me sing
Always, only, for my King."

And by every movement of our bodies say to men as we pass on our pilgrim way: "I no longer live, but Christ liveth in me." So live that our lives shall be a demonstration that "Christ in us, the hope of glory," is the Indwelling Presence that guides us in that way.

GLORY POEM #4

MELODY MADE CLEAR

A journey from here to there
as you listen you’ll know where,
an angel takes us by the hand
across the ocean to another land!
Slowly, gently we sail through the air,
feeling the comfort of warm tropical breezes
through our hair,
leaving behind not even a care.
Our eyes behold a sight of astonishment, then fear!
Now, anticipation heightens as we belold a
miraculous brightness blinding us and bringing
all to our knees to listen and hear.
As we shyly look up, our hearts are filled
with a completeness, a happiness we’ve
never experienced as we’ve known it, ever, anywhere!
We reach forward and upward,
then
from “within” us exudes a “rushing” and “hurrying”
which again takes us into flight,
onward floating toward such an array of
celestrial light,
a vision seen by John,
there are no words for such a sight!
even the moon, sun and stars,
our earth’s delight,
cannot compete for they themselves are
in subjection under our King’s feet!
Imagine this and all
his brothers we’ll meet.
